Performing and Fine Arts

Fine Arts
All students take drawing and painting as a separate subject twice a week. as a working studio class.  They also learn about specific artists, art styles, periods, and some art history.

Performing Arts
Theater: Starting in 3rd grade all students take part in our drama program currently through Bard Unbound.  Students work on one performance per semester.  See our English Literature through Theater page.

Music: Integrated into our immersion program, students currently learn traditional songs in the immersion target language, which they perform at the Windsor Memory Center as part of our community outreach.  Students attend symphony,  world music, Richmond Ballet, or opera performances each year to gain exposure to and appreciation of the classical performing arts.  Additionally students study at least one classical musical work each year, such as Peter and the Wolf, Swan Lake, or the Nutcracker.
