Spanish Summer Camps - 2019

Spanish Camps for older students

June 24 - 28: Jewelry Making and Cuisine in Spanish
9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. :  Ages 10 - 16
Cost: $325  (includes materials for lunches and jewelry) 
Come and enjoy a week full of fun activities:  Each morning students will prepare lunch of authentic cuisine from a Spanish speaking country. After lunch they will design custom jewelry, learning techniques of knotting, metal working, and finger crocheting taught entirely in Spanish.  The camp is very visual and hands-on, so students of all levels of Spanish from beginner to heritage speaker will be engaged from the start. 
Boys are encouraged to join:  There will options to make key chains, paracord wristbands, masculine jewelry and gifts for mothers, sisters, and grandmothers.

July 8 - 12: Reading, Creative Writing, and Culture
12:30-3:30 pm:  Cost: $200
-ages 11-16 with a minimum 1 year of Spanish in an academic classroom
This camp is open to any local students (public or private) who love learning Spanish and would like to engage in an active full immersion Spanish experience reading and writing poetry, creating a short puppet show, making a self-portrait collage, discovering music from Spanish speaking countries and cooking a few traditional dishes.
